William Jewell College Training Recognition Credits (TRCs)
Training Recognition Credits (TRCs) allow William Jewell students to earn credit for coursework completed through Breathe for Change trainings or through Pass/Fail credits at Woolf by submitting assignments to demonstrate prior learning.
Also Known As / Common Questions
- “What are TRCs and how do they apply to my degree?”

What are TRCs?
Training Recognition Credits (TRCs) are course equivalencies awarded to Breathe for Change training graduates who have completed eligible training programs prior to enrolling at William Jewell College.
TRCs reflect the learning outcomes you achieved through your previous learning experience at Breathe for Change. These courses:
-
Acknowledge your previous participation, reflection, and implementation in your Breathe for Change program.
-
Allow you to earn credit from William Jewell College that will apply to your degree, pending accreditation.
-
Do not require attendance at live meetings or participation in discussions.
Note: TRC courses are for students who completed coursework previously in trainings or received Pass/Fail grades for exempted or expedited learning on their Woolf transcript.
If you transferred to William Jewell College from Woolf and have number grades on your Woolf transcript, you will transfer your Woolf credits to William Jewell.
How to Earn TRCs
Each TRC course has 2 assignments that reflect your learning, implementation, experience, and impact.
The assignments that you will be required to upload are either a version of an assignment that you already completed OR a brief reflection that summarizes the learning and application from your training.
You will not be required to redo any of the participation components.
