How to Create a WhatsApp Account
Step 2: Click on the green "Download" button, then download and open WhatsApp.
Step 3: Review the Privacy Policies and Terms of Service, then click the green "Agree and continue" button.
Step 4: Choose whether you'd like to allow WhatsApp to send you notifications. Note: you can always change your preferences in the app Settings later.
Step 5: Enter the name and phone number you would like to use for your WhatsApp account, then verify your phone number by entering the security code sent to your phone and your birth year.
Step 6: Enter your name and profile picture (optional, but nice to have so your community group members can see your smiling face 🙂), then click Continue.
Step 7: Choose whether you'd like to allow WhatsApp access to your contacts.
Once you've finished setting up your account, you can now rescan the QR code and follow the steps below to access the B4C Coach App.
How to Access the B4C Coach App in WhatsApp
The link to access the B4C Coach App will be shared during the first class of EDU 620 and EDU 621. You can either click the link to the app that will be sent via text or scan the QR code to get started.
Your steps to access the app will vary depending on whether you already have a WhatsApp account and the type of device you are using.
If you are brand new to WhatsApp you'll first need to download WhatsApp and set up your account. See instructions here.
If you already have a WhatsApp account and you're accessing the link to the B4C Coach app from your phone, you should be automatically redirected to WhatsApp.
If you already have a WhatsApp account and you're accessing the link to the B4C Coach app from your desktop, you will be directed to a webpage.
You can choose to Open app or Continue to WhatsApp Web.

Select Open app if you have WhatsApp installed on your device.

Select Continue to WhatsApp Web If you prefer to use WhatsApp in your browser.
Both options will require you to scan a QR code from your phone. This will launch the mobile app, link your devices and connect you to the B4C Coach App. Note: you'll need to allow WhatsApp access to your camera in order to enable FaceID to link your devices.
Once connected to the B4C Coach App you will be able to access it from any device that you are logged into your WhatsApp account.
How to Access Your Community Group in WhatsApp
The link to access your Community Group's private chat space in WhatsApp will be sent via text during the first class of EDU 620 and EDU 621. Simply click the link to start chatting with your group members as they join the space!
If for any reason you don't receive the text with your group's WhatsApp link, try the following:
- ask one of your group members to send the link to you in the Zoom chat during one of your Community Group breakout sessions
- look for the link in the post-session email that will be sent the day after your first live class
- email support@breatheforchange.com to request the link
