Registering with Yoga Alliance
Graduates who complete all certification requirements are eligible to register through Yoga Alliance as RYT-200, for Mindfulness, SEL, and Yoga Teacher Training graduates or RYT-500, for Transformative TEACHing and Leadership Training graduates. Yoga Alliance is an internationally recognized nonprofit that certifies yoga teachers and schools worldwide. Its mission is to foster safe, high-quality, accessible, and equitable yoga instruction.

Creating Your Yoga Alliance Account
- Visit the Yoga Alliance Website.
- Click Become a Member → Yoga Teachers to create an account.
- If you already have an account, sign in and select “Upgrade Options.”
- Use your full first and last name to match your certificate.
- If you need the name on your certificate updated, email support@breatheforchange.com.
Submitting Your Application
From your Yoga Alliance dashboard, you will need to provide:
- Your desired RYT designation (RYT-200, RYT-500, or RCYT)
- The name of the RYS you attended:
- Breathe For Change (200-hour and 300-hour submissions)
- Yoga Ed. (RCYT submissions)
- Your training completion date (as listed on your certificate)
- An electronic copy of your certificate
Application Review Process
- Once you submit, our operations team will be notified and review applications weekly, typically on Fridays.
- We will confirm that your name and completion date match your certificate.
- Once validated, Yoga Alliance will approve your request.
After approval, Yoga Alliance will prompt you to:
- Enter and track your teaching hours
- Pay your annual membership fee
- Evaluate your RYS (Breathe For Change)
