William Jewell Master's Degree Recommended Pathways - Mindfulness, SEL, and Yoga Teacher and Transformative TEACHing & Leadership Training Graduates
The following are recommended graduation pathways for new William Jewell students who have already completed the Mindfulness, SEL, and Yoga Teacher Training and the Transformative TEACHing and Leadership Training.

Training Recognition Credits (TRCs)
TRCs represent coursework already completed through previous Breathe For Change training(s).
You will submit two assignments per TRC course to demonstrate your prior learning.
TRCs do not include live class meetings or new content—they exist to recognize your previous training within the William Jewell degree framework.

Pathways Overview
Completion of the Mindfulness, SEL, and Yoga Teacher Training* exempts you from full participation in the following courses at William Jewell College as part of your Master's of Science in Education:
- EDU 620 TRC - The Human Side of Teaching (4 credits)
- EDU 621 TRC - Educator Resilience and Well-Being (4 credits)
*Your Mindfulness, SEL, and Yoga Teacher Training certificate must be dated January 1, 2022 or later in order to qualify for TRC course enrollment.
Completion of the Transformative TEACHing and Leadership Training exempts you from full participation in the following courses at William Jewell College as part of your Master's of Science in Education:

- EDU 630 TRC - Trauma-Informed Teaching (2 credits)
- EDU 634 TRC - Mental Health in Schools (2 credits)
- TRC courses available through Fall 2026
- EDU 640 TRC - Chair Yoga For Educators & Students (2 credits)
Graduates have already fulfilled the learning outcomes of these courses through their Breathe for Change training and will complete the degree requirements through Training Recognition Credits (TRCs).
When enrolling at William Jewell College, training graduates will follow a 3-semester pathway toward graduation.
Expected Workload
Expect to spend at least 1-2 hours of work outside of class meetings per credit hour enrolled*. This includes the application component of the curriculum, which involves implementing practices within your classroom or educational context.
For example: if you enroll in 8 credits, you should spend 8-16 hours per week on your asynchronous coursework, which includes time implementing what you’re learning in your classroom and educational context.
*This is for non-TRC courses only.
