Also Known As / Common Questions

  • “What is the William Jewell Master's degree program experience like?”
  • “How much time will I spend on degree coursework each week?”
  • “Support available during the program”
  • “Accessibility for students with special needs”

This program is currently undergoing accreditation, which we anticipate will be finalized by Spring 2026.

Master's Degree Format & Weekly Commitment

We offer a 12-month, 18-month, or 24-month pathway towards your degree.

Choose your start date: August (Fall Semester), January (Spring Semester), or June (Summer Semester) and the number of courses you’d like to take each semester to determine your program duration.

Learn more about degree program pathways here

You can expect to spend about 10 hours per week working through on-demand curriculum in between live sessions. The amount of time may increase or decrease slightly based on the number of courses you enroll in each semester. Pacing guides are available in your program curriculum.

Wrap-Around Support

In addition to the Knowledge Base and Support Team, our programs include multiple layers of support:
  • Community Group of 8–12 students: Throughout Module 1, you will meet with your “Accountabili-Buddies” to provide mutual support and accountability during and between live sessions (and beyond!).
  • Mentor: Each Module 1 Community Group is matched with an experienced Mentor — a graduate of Module 1 who has demonstrated incredible community impact and leadership qualities. They will be present during some live meetings to offer support and will facilitate your Asana Finale Yoga Classes.
  • Faculty Advisor: Master’s degree students are assigned to a Faculty Advisor before their first semester begins. They will meet 1:1 at least twice per semester for support and guidance throughout the degree program. Faculty Advisors also serve as Module 1 Mentors for their students.
  • Care Team: Master’s students who fall behind the recommended asynchronous pacing or who have not signed in to Brightspace for over a week will receive outreach from the Breathe For Change + William Jewell Care Team to support them in accessing any resources they might need.

For specific accessibility questions, please email support@breatheforchange.com.

Community Resources

Within the program, you have access to:

  • Community Group WhatsApp chat: Module 1 students are encouraged to stay connected asynchronously, throughout Module 1 and beyond! We recommend using WhatsApp to share appreciations, updates, resources, and celebrations, and strengthen your relationships. We will share more about how to set up your WhatsApp Group during our first live meeting.
  • Educator Collective: The Educator Collective is a community platform which holds our Training spaces, Membership subscription, Teacher’s Lounge, and Master’s Community. The Teacher’s Lounge is free to all training and degree students, and the Master’s Community is free to all degree students. Both include features that allow students to engage asynchronously and see who lives nearby for potential in-person meetups!
